TRAK-STAR RACE CARS CLINCHES 2010 NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS CHASSIS CHAMPIONSHIP

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Trak-Star Race Cars built by Boland Performance of Cuba, AL has clinched the 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge Championship. With one race left on the 2010 National Touring schedule, Trak-Star Race Cars has a 32-point lead over GRT Race Cars of Greenbrier, AR.

Drivers in Trak-Star Race Cars have won six of the first 20 races on the 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Tour with Mike Boland of Cuba, AL at the top of the winners list this season with four victories in the Strength Center Trak-Star. Boland is second on the all-time NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS Winners List with ten victories over the past five seasons.

Justin McRee of Tuscaloosa, AL has one win and is currently third in the national point standings driving the Century Dedicated, Inc. Trak-Star. Chris Ragan of Ramer, TN also has a win on the national tour in 2010 driving the Southeastern Ag Transport Trak-Star.

Trak-Star Race Cars also leads the NeSmith Performance Parts Fast Qualifiers list with seven quick time awards in the first 20 NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Touring events of 2010. Cliff Williams of Star, MS has four NeSmith Performance Parts Fast Time Awards in 2010 driving the Ware Construction Trak-Star.

Boland, McRee and Jeremy Shaw of Millport, AL in the Summit Resource Development Trak-Star also have one NeSmith Performance Parts Fast Time Awards during the 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Touring season.

Trak-Star Race Cars has now swept both NeSmith Racing chassis manufacturer’s titles for 2010, and is the first chassis manufacturer to win both titles in the same season. Earlier this year, Trak-Star Race Cars captured their second-straight NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series Chassis Manufacturers Challenge Championship with 71 wins.

Drivers in Trak-Star Race Cars also took six of the top seven spots in the NeSmith Chevrolet Weekly Racing Series West Region point standings.
