Scott James Drives to Impressive Third Place Outing in Fall 50; Readies for K-C this Weekend

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  Scott James and his #83 team traveled to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening, October 23 for the annual running of the 'Fall 50.' The unsanctioned program featured a passing points format and paid $5,000 to the winner. Scott drew the pole position for his heat race and dominated the preliminary event to record the convincing triumph. The driver known as the "Silver Shark" amassed the tenth most passing points during the five heat races and rolled off from the outside of the fifth row in the 50-lap A-Main.

During the course of the 'Fall 50,' Scott helped put on a great show in front of the healthy Florence crowd. Pulling some stellar slide-jobs and running both the inside and outside grooves, Scott sliced and diced his way up to the third spot late in the race. With only a handful of laps remaining, the Bright, Indiana native was running nose-to-tail behind leaders Steve Casebolt and Jason Jameson in heavy lapped traffic. Despite a deflating left rear tire, Scott brought home a strong third place performance behind only Casebolt and Jameson. The Scott James Motorsports team will now turn their focus to the ‘Trick or Treat 50’ this Saturday night, October 30 at the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio.  The O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series (ASLMS) will sanction the festivities this weekend at K-C and a $5,000 top prize will be up for grabs in the series finale.  Additional information on the one-day show can be found by clicking on www.kc-raceway.com.
