Casebolt Racing Captures Florence Speedway's Fall 50

RICHMOND, IN (October 27th, 2010) - For the second straight Saturday night, Steve Casebolt and his #c9 team found themselves celebrating in victory lane. After conquering the 'Kokomo Klash' last weekend, the Steve Casebolt Racing team turned their focus to the annual running of the 'Fall 50' at the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening, October 23. Steve drew the eighth starting spot in his heat race and blew past six competitors to score an impressive runner-up preliminary finish. The Richmond, Indiana native accumulated the most passing points through the five heat races, which earned Steve the pole position for the 50-lap main event.

Action was hot and heavy throughout the A-Main, but Steve jumped out in front of fellow front row starter Darrell Lanigan in the early stages and took a commanding lead. As the race wore on, heavy lapped traffic played a key role and allowed track champion Jason Jameson to work his way past Casebolt's #c9 MasterSbilt Gen-X machine for the top spot. However, Steve got up on the wheel and retook the lead from Jameson on lap 42 and held on for his fifth victory of the 2010 campaign. He claimed the $5,000 win in defeating Jameson, Scott James, Cody Mahoney, and Matt Miller in the unsanctioned 'Fall 50,' which drew a healthy 51 car field.

The team will travel to K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, OH this coming weekend for another 50 lap event paying $5,000 to the winner. The race at K-C will most likely be the final race of the season for Casebolt Racing.

Steve would once again like to thank everyone for your support in 2010. A special thanks also goes out to the fans and supporters who voted for Steve on the Appliancezone.com sponsorship opportunity. Unfortunately Steve was not the top vote getter and he was eliminated from the competition.
