Eric Cooley to Chase $15k at 7th Annual Cotton Pickin’ 100Fulton, MS (10/26/10) – Eric Cooley will enter only his fourth Super Late Model race of 2010 as he takes his #33c Cooley Transport/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/GM 525 Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle in the 7th Annual Southern Belle Cotton Pickin’ 100.
Cooley, who was the 2009 NeSmith Late Model Series National Champion, has spent most of 2010 defending his NeSmith crown and with just a few events remaining is currently the point’s leader. This weekend, October 28th-30th, he will enter the 7th Annual Southern Belle Cotton Pickin’ 100 at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). In 2009, he entered his first official Super Late Model race at the Cotton Pickin’ 100 and impressively qualified for the feature via heat race action and went on to record a 17th place finish in the final rundown. He will look to improve on his finish in the 2010 edition of the event, which will pay $15,000 to win and $1,000 to start. An Open Practice Session will be held on Thursday night. Group qualifying and heat races will be held on Friday, and on Saturday consolation events and the 100 lap feature will be held. For more information, please visit
