Scott James Readies for Jackson 100 at Brownstown this Weekend

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  Scott James and his #83 team invaded the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday night, September 18, as the Cincinnati area venue played host to a $2,000 to win unsanctioned program. Scott started seventh in his heat race and charged to second to earn the third most passing points in the preliminary events. After rolling off in the A-Main from the inside of the second row, Scott quickly grabbed the top spot on the first circuit and distanced himself from the entire field. Unfortunately, his #83 car experienced mechanical problems around the lap ten mark and the Bright, Indiana native was forced to retire from the race. Next up for the Scott James Motorsports team will be a trip to the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana for the 31st Annual ‘Jackson 100.’  The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again sanction the prestigious event, which boasts a $20,000 winner’s check.  Qualifying will take place at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked fairgrounds venue on Friday, September 24, while heat races, consolation events, and the 100-lap ‘Jackson 100’ will headline the program on Saturday, September 25.  Additional information on this weekend’s festivities at Brownstown can be located by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com.
