Scott Creel Scores Best Career Southern All Star Finish At Lavonia

Franklinton, Louisiana (09/22/10) – Scott Creel powered his #31 Creel Brothers/ Mastersbilt/Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model to a third place finish on Saturday night at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia.

Scott entered the $5,000 to win, Southern All Star Super Late Model event on Saturday night at Lavonia Speedway (Lavonia, Georgia). A field of 19 cars was on hand and Creel started the night by qualifying fastest to earn the pole position for the feature with Ronnie Johnson starting to his outside. Creel would battle Johnson for the lead early in the feature before his tires began to go away. Scott would go on to finish third behind race winner, Ronnie Johnson, and Randy Weaver. The third place finish was the best Southern All Star finish of his career.

“We had an awesome car, but we just went a little too soft on tires, and the right rear started giving up on me,” commented Creel.

This weekend, September 23rd-25th, Scott and Voodoo Motorsports will travel to “The Baddest Bullring in the South,” Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the 21st Annual Premier Ford Magnolia State 100. The 2010 edition of the event pays $25,010 to win/$1,000 to start for Super Late Models as Scott looks to qualify for his first feature at the event. An Open Practice Session will be held on Thursday night, and on Friday night time trials and heat race action will be on tap. The weekend will conclude on Saturday night with b-mains, a last chance qualifier, and the 100 lap finale. For more information on the event, please visit www.ColumbusSpeedway.net .
