Anthony Burroughs Claims $3,000 Win At Thunderhill; Magnolia State 100 Next

Muscle Shoals, Alabama (09/22/10) –Anthony Burroughs continued his late season, torrid pace in Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) action by powering his #121 Tucker’s Mobile Home Service/Mastersbilt By Stuckey/Wall-2-Wall Racing Engine Super Late Model to the $3,000 win on Saturday night at Thunderhill Speedway (Summertown, Tennessee).

The team took part in a double header for the Southern Regional Racing Series (SRRS) at Thunderhill Speedway (Summertown, TN). On Friday night a $2,000 to win event was held, and with 22 Super Late Models entered, Anthony locked into the fifth starting spot for the feature. He would battle throughout the top five during the course of the event before finishing a solid 4th place finish behind event winner, Dane Dacus, Ben Kittrell, and Chuck Proctor.

Saturday night found the team back in action at Thunderhill Speedway with $3,000 up for grabs in the Danny Sandrell Memorial. It would prove to be a great night for Anthony as he started outside front row for the feature event, and blasted to the lead at the drop of the green flag and never looked back on his way to his sixth win of the season!

This weekend, September 23rd-25th, Anthony will make the trek to “The Baddest Bullring in the South” Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the 21st Annual Premier Ford Magnolia State 100. One of the true mega-events of the South, the race traditionally draws a tough field of regional and national drivers to the 1/3 mile oval. The action begins on Thursday with an Open Practice Session. On Friday, time trials and heat races will be held with Saturday night seeing b-mains, a last chance qualifier, and the 100 lap finale, which boasts a purse that includes $25,010 to win/$1,000 to start for the 26 car field.
