Scott James Heads to Florence this Saturday Following World 100(BRIGHT, INDIANA) The James Motorsports team spent their September 10-11 weekend at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, as the hallowed 1/2-mile, high-banked venue played host to the 40th Annual 'World 100.' A stellar field of 134 competitors signed in for the crown jewel extravaganza and each driver had their eyes fixed on the $43,000 winner's check. Scott James started the weekend by laying down the seventeenth fastest lap in the two-round qualifying session on Friday night.
Unfortunately for the Bright, Indiana native, he had problems early in his loaded 15-lap heat race on Saturday evening (mud in radiator and ran hot) and recorded a disappointing seventeenth place preliminary performance. Scott was forced to watch the 100-lap 'World 100' instead of competing for the prestigious globe trophy. Full results from the "Big E" can be found online at

In other news out of Eldora, Scott and twenty other drivers got their head shaved over the weekend as part of the “Brave the Shave” campaign, which was headed up by fellow driver Jeep Van Wormer. A Head 4 A Cure and the “Brave the Shave” campaign was launched back in June during the ‘Dream 100’ and over $40,000 was raised for three worthy cancer charities: Children's Cancer Fund of America, Cancer Research Institute, and American Cancer Society. Scott and his #83 team will look to get back on track this upcoming Saturday night at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. An unsanctioned program will take place on Saturday, September 18 at the Cincinnati area 1/2-mile. A $2,000 top prize will be up for grabs in the Season Championship race for the Dirt Late Models.
