www.racevrs.com Volunteer Racing Series heads back to North Georgia on Sat September 4thSOMERSET, KY (August 28, 2010)--The Volunteer Racing Series will start a three race swing of September next Saturday Night September 4th at the North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, GA.
This will be the third appearance of the season and tenth overall season event at the Timmy Milwood promoted facility located in Chatsworth, GA which will pay $3,000 to win / $250 to start for the winner of the 40-lapper.
Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, TN showed domination during the VRS/SRRS co-sanctioned event on August 14th and Johnson also claimed the May 29th VRS event. The VRS will return to North GA on the series season finale event on Sat. October 23rd for a $3,000 to win event.
There will be a complete show of practice, Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains and the 40-lap Main event. The VRS Late Model tire rule is as follows: Open Front, Hoosier 1600 (shoulder plated) or 55 and American Racer MD-56 on the REAR. The LM-40 will also be legal for competition in this event. It is mandatory that these tires punch 60 with the durometer before any qualifying or race. The VRS Late Model entry fee is $75.00. On Saturday September 4th at North GA, the gates for the pits will open at 3:00 p.m. while Hot Laps are slated for 7:30 p.m. All times are Eastern.

After the VRS event at North GA on September 4th, the series will take a weekend off for the World 100 at Eldora (OH) Speedway before returning to Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY for a two-night special September 17-18.
