National All Star Racing Association Invades Richmond (KY) Raceway September 4thContact: Jeremy Shields (jumpstartcomm@live.com)
RICHMOND, KY (August 29, 2010)-Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are gearing up for a very eventful racing weekend at their Madison County facility. What has been named as the Stars & Stripes Twin 30, the National All Star Racing Association (NASRA) will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event while the 1st Annual Sportsman Nationals rescheduled from August 21st will also be held on September 4th.
A full program for the NASRA Super Late Models is on tap including Time Trials, Qualifying Heats, B-Mains, and the 30-lap $2,000 to win A-Main. Also on the September 4th racing card will be the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds in a 20-lap; $600 to win A-Main, the Sportsman in their 1st Annual Sportsman Nationals 30-lap; $1,000 to win A-Main, and the Road Hogs in a 12-lap; $150 to win A-Main. Along with the NASRA Super Late Models, the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds and Sportsman will time trial. The Road Hogs will draw for heat race starting positions on September 4th.
Activities for September 4th will see the pit area open at 4:30 p.m., with the grandstand area opening at 5:30 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. with hot laps set to begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by time trials at 7:15 p.m. Ticket prices in the grandstand area will be $15 while a pit pass will go for $30.
The National All Star Racing Association was founded in 2009 by renowned chassis builder C.J. Rayburn. Intended to allow drivers and teams the ability to race more affordably and more competitively in today’s highly competitive dirt racing scene.
