A few notes. I believe the car count was 62. The track decided to dry out stupidly in one section, entering turn 3 so the water truck came out and then it needed to be run in. Better to invest the 35 minutes, had a nice track except turn 3. After the track prep the surface was nice. 2 cars caught on fire but the Track Pro safety team was on top of it so quick, super good job by the safety team. Many spins, wrecks, and flyin' over the turn 1 banks. Brandon King swept the program, quick time at 15.44, led every lap even though Mark Mears threw the kitchen sink at 'em. Stacey Tyler drove the wheels off his LMS to the win. The Outlaw Ponys put on another good race.
Rain was surrounding the track all night long but only a couple of stray drops near 10:00pm. Many other tracks got rained out but RVS squeaked in another. There were some ruffled feathers after some races for sure. The show did run late, finished at 12:30am. Just a night when a load of stuff went down and a number of late arrivals from rained out races. It was one of those nights. All in all it worked out. The goal is to finish by 11:00pm. Last night it did not happen. Had a few red flags. Each week the staff is learning, each week will get better.
