Scott James Earns Top Ten at Moler; Turns Focus to Pair of Lucas Oil Showdowns this Weekend

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  Scott James and the Scotty Earl Racing team trekked to the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio on Friday night, August 20 for the $5,000 to win 'Victor Ike Moler Memorial.' Scott won his heat race in preliminary action and later rolled off from the outside of the third row in the unsanctioned main event. The Bright, Indiana native didn't tighten his #s44 Rocket racecar up enough prior to the race, but was still able to bring home a solid eighth place performance.

Up next for the #s44 team was scheduled to be the annual running of the 'Fred Dillow Memorial' at the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio on Saturday evening, August 21. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans and the $4,000 to win program was rained-out. Complete results from Moler on Friday can be viewed online at www.molerracewaypark.com.

Scott and the #s44 team have two high-profile Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series programs on the horizon this upcoming weekend (August 27-28).  The nearby Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana will play host to a $10,000 to win showdown on Friday night, while the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky will do the same on Saturday evening.  The cameras of the SPEED Channel will be on hand to tape the wheel-to-wheel action at Lawrenceburg for broadcast later in the year.  Additional information concerning the LOLMDS doubleheader can be viewed by pointing your web browser to www.lucasdirt.com.

All summer long, fans are encouraged to donate money for Scott James to “Brave the Shave!”  The campaign, which kicked off at the ‘Dream 100’ in early June, will culminate during the ‘World 100’ weekend at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 9-11.  Scott, along with twenty other drivers, will shave their heads at Eldora to raise money for three worthy cancer charities.  You can learn more about A Head for A Cure and the “Brave the Shave” campaign by clicking on www.ahead4acure.com.

Keep up with the “Silver Shark” Scott James all year long by accessing his official home on the Internet located at www.scottjamesmotorsports.com.
