Fab Four Championship Night on Tap this Friday, August 27
Full Slate Scheduled for September including Outlaws & All Stars
Community Night this Thursday, August 19 at the Butler Farm Show Grounds

Sarver, PA (August 25, 2010) Well it all comes down to this! One week for all the marbles; months and months of blood, sweat and tears have put nine drivers in position to claim Budweiser Track Championships in three divisions. One of course is already decided; Joe Kelley clinched the Budweiser Track Championships in the Charapp Route 28 DIRTcar Sportsman division two weeks ago upon winning his eighth feature. He has since won his ninth feature!

Heading into this Friday Night’s Fab Four Racing Championship Night sponsored by Armstrong One Wire, three drivers are in the mix for the Budweiser Track Championship in the Ti22 Performance DIRTcar Sprints, two drivers in the DIRTcar Late Models and four drivers in the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modifieds!

Last week’s feature winner Danny Holtgraver leads former Track Champions Ed Lynch Jr. by 19 points and Bob Felmlee by 24 points in the Ti22 Sprints. The feature win was the first of Holtgraver’s blossoming career and allowed him to max out on Budweiser points, as he had earlier won his National Guard Heat Race. Lynch and Felmlee have both won dozens of features and multiple track championships and will surely test the mettle of Holtgraver as he tries to close the deal on his breakout season and his first Track Championship.

Dave Hess Jr. needs just two points to clinch his first career Lernerville Speedway Track Championship, a feat his father Dave Hess Sr. accomplished twice. Jared Miley is still mathematically in the championship equation, but essentially needs Hess to DNS his heat and feature to have a realistic chance to secure his first career Lernerville Track Championship.

The Diehl Modified division has the most drivers in the mix, but it will be difficult for Brian Swartzlander, Del Rougeux Jr. and/or Jeremiah Shingledecker to make up enough points on incumbent Bud Points leader Kevin Bolland to unseat him and prevent him from claiming his third Lernerville/Budweiser Track Championship. Shingledecker pulled off the improbable to steal the Track Championship from Swartzlander and Bolland last season, so anything is possible!!

The National Guard Heat Race Challenge is also coming right down to the wire, as Danny Holtgraver also leads the way there with seven heat race victories. Defending National Guard Heat Race Challenge Champion Joe Kelley leads a five driver group with six wins; that group also includes Ed Lynch Jr., Dave Hess Jr., Del Rougeux Jr. and Wayne Carbo. Jack Sodeman Jr., Bob Felmlee, Kevin Bolland and Dave Murdick are still in contention with five heat race wins.

Speaking of Championships, the guys from FantasyDirtRacing.com have recently crowned the Second Annual Fantasy Fab Four Champion, as Russ Herold’s “Superglide2004” team beat out hundreds of competitors to win two tickets to the upcoming World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Commonwealth Clash on Saturday, September 25 and a Championship Poster from Stivason Photos. Also claiming prizes were top five finishers Jason Stearns, Ronald Fraley, Alex Stack and Shane Murray. Prize packages include two tickets to the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede, the All Stars Dual in the Dirt and tickets to 2011 Fab Four Racing, as well as Lernerville Speedway gear! Lernerville Speedway would like to thank Charles Taninecz and Bill Titchnell for providing our fans with a fantastic way to be actively involved in what we feel is the best weekly racing program in the country! And of course, thank you to all the fans whom participate in the Fantasy Fab Four Racing League.

While the Fast Fridays of Fab Four Racing will come to a close this Friday, August 27, the Lernerville Speedway is still two months away from going dark for the winter! September 2010 is chalk full of racing for fans of all types of divisions! And October features the three-day, eight division DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede.

September starts with the Thunder & Lightning of the All Stars Circuit of Champions Sprints and Late Model Series on Friday, September 3 with the Dual in the Dirt. Both divisions will be racing for $5,000-to-win purses. Both divisions will feature tire rules as the Sprints will maintain the national Goodyear tire rule, while the Lates will maintain the DIRTcar/Hoosier LM tire rule. Last year’s Dual in the Dirt saw thrilling action in both divisions ending with Randy Hannagan and Brady Smith in Sheetz Victory Lane! Both divisions have been in competition at the Lernerville Speedway earlier this season with Dale Blaney winning the June 4 All Star Sprint Show and Robbie Blair winning the April 30 All Star Late Models “Showdown in Sarvertown”.

The following weekend we switch gears to our September Saturday Night schedule as the School Buses and Kid’s Bike Races return on Saturday, September 11 along with a Demolition Derby, Figure 8 Races and the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club Senior Series.

The following Saturday, September 18 is the always popular Autumn-Motive Fest featuring the Charapp Route 28 DIRTcar Sportsman in the Sportsman/Stock Spectacular and another $1000-to-win, 100-lap Enduro. The Sportsman/Stock Spectacular features open rules; including open tires. Jim Matthes, General Sales Manager at Charapp Route 28 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge & Ford, is sponsoring a $500 Dash for Cash, while Rod Kacin is coordinating lap sponsors and contingency awards. There will also be a non-winners race for those Lernerville regulars whom have not yet found their way to Sheetz Victory Lane. Last year, Randy Hanovick raced to a popular win in this event which guarantees a first time feature winner!

The last weekend of September is the final weekly show of the season as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series invades the Action Track for the Commonwealth Clash on Saturday, September 25. Tickets are on sale now at www.Lernerville.com and all advance ticket purchases include a FREE pit pass upgrade! Recent Knoxville Nationals Champion Tim Shaffer looks to steal another big win away from the World of Outlaws at his home track like he did winning the 2005 Silver Cup.

The final event on the 2010 schedule is the three-day, eight division DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede on Thursday-Friday-Saturday, October 21-22-23. The Steel City Stampede features $3,000-to-win features for 410 Sprints, Super Late Models and Big Block Modifieds. The 410 Sprint feature will be the series finale of the DIRTcar Challenge Sprint Series, just as the Modified feature will be the series finale for the BRP Modified Tour! There will also be $1,000-to-win features for the Pro Late Models, UMP Modifieds and Sportsman/Stocks and $500-to-win features for the Mod Lites and 4-Cylinders. Saturday Night’s Stampede finale will be capped off by a $1000-to-win Enduro!
