Richmond Raceway Presents Weekly Racing Action on August 28th; Youth Group Night

RICHMOND, KY (August 25, 2010)-After last week’s rainout, Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett will return to action with Youth Group Night and weekly racing in all divisions on Saturday Night, August 28th.

One lucky Church Youth Group will receive a donation from Richmond Raceway on August 28th. Fans can redeem their August 22nd Church Bulletin at the admission gate on August 28th; limit one bulletin per fan. The church with the most represented prior to feature races starting will receive a donation from the Richmond Raceway to their youth group.

A full program of racing is on tap for all divisions on Saturday August 28th. In action will be the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models in a 25-lap; $1,000 to win A-Main, the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds in a 20-lap; $600 to win A-Main, the Sportsman in 20-lap; $400 to win A-Main, and the Road Hogs in a 12-lap; $150 to win A-Main. The Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, and Sportsman will Time Trial on August 28th while the Road Hogs will draw for

Heat Race starting positions.

RACEceivers will be mandatory for the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, and Sportsman on August 28th.

Activities for August 28th will see the pit area open at 4:30 p.m., with the grandstand area opening at 5:30 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. with hot laps set to begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by time trials at 7:15 p.m. Ticket prices in the grandstand area will be $12 while a pit pass will go for $25.

Richmond Raceway’s most recent events took place on August 7th where feature event winners that night included Bobby Carrier, Jr. of Harrodsburg, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, Logan Preston of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, and Mike Newby of Nicholasville, KY in the Road Hogs.

Current track championship point’s leaders heading into the August 28th events include Jason Barrett of Waco, KY in the Coyote 100.7 FM Super Late Models, Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, Logan Preston of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, and Wayne Duvall of Lexington, KY in the Road Hogs.
