RSC Equipment Rental Fan Appreciation Race Night at Central Missouri Speedway

(Warrensburg, MO) The ‘Chase for the Championships’ continue this Saturday night at the ‘Fastest High-Banked Clay Oval in the Midwest’ on RSC Equipment Rental race night at Warrensburg’s own Central Missouri Speedway.  Race fans will also be treated to an array of special giveaways this weekend as the race season quickly winds down.  Fans will have the opportunity to win free admission tickets, CMS discount coupons, hats, T-shirts and many other race related items on Fan Appreciation night.  Admission gates open at 5pm with racing on the track starting at 7:30.

Waterloo Storage Products Victory Lane has been a busy place this season with 18 different feature winners in the ‘Mighty’ Modified, ULMA Late Model, Street Stock, and B-Modified divisions.  During the last two weeks of racing in the modified division, Rick Beebe out of Shawnee, Kansas has vaulted into the second spot in points just behind Concordia driver, Jason Thompson.  Both divers have won two CMS features this season in the always tough division of talented modified drivers.  James McMillin from Warrensburg continues to maintain his consistency with a top-three position this week after driving his business and racing partner, Dean Wille’s car last weekend.  McMillin has multiple top-10 finishes this year along with two top-fives.

Modified drivers can still save money this Saturday evening by registering for the B and A Modified specials on Sept 3 with the $1,500 B-Modified event and the Sept 4, $3,000 to-win ‘mighty’ Modified special at CMS.  This is the final night you can register and save for these special events.  Fans can also purchase discounted two-night ticket packages available at the admission gates this Saturday.

The ULMA Late Model division has been fun for fans to watch this year and especially of late with Jon Binning from Warrensburg grabbing the last two feature wins.  Even with Binning’s modest two-win streak,  Centerview driver, Jason Bodenhamer remains at the top of the ULMA track points race, but his once comfortable lead has eroded with Binning now just 58 points behind.  These two highly competitive drivers are both capable of a win each week.  Another promising driver has been Lane Ehlert from Foristell who is third in points and has shown improved driving capabilities this season.  He has stepped up his program gaining five top-five finishes with several second place finishes the last few weeks.

Another battle continues to brew in the Street Stock division with Brain Johnson of Independence still in front of Warrensburg driver, Chad Eickleberry.  Eickleberry suffered a non-points finish several weeks ago, but still is in the hunt just 86 points behind Johnson applying the pressure up to the end of the season.  Another Warrensburg driver, Bryce McMillin is in the third spot and has shown steady improvement this year with multiple top-10 finishes to his credit.  Brain Cox from Concordia and T. J. Faulkenberry out of Urich round out the top-five in this class.

In the B-Modified division,  Brad Smith has been the show this year with nine feature victories dominating this class.  The young guns, Dalton Kirk from Gardner, Kansas and Jacob Ebert out of Oak Grove continue their back and forth battle for the second and third spot in the points chase.  Kirk has the advantage in second for the moment with 11 top-five finishes which is just behind Smith’s track lead of 12 top-five finishes.   Right now Ebert is only 13 points out of second with nine top-fives to his credit.  This championship race will go down to the final weekend to determine who places where in the top-five.  Ethan Isaacs from Bonner Springs and Nic Bennett of  Grain Valley are both within 60 points of third in the top-five.
