Scott James Readies for Moler and Portsmouth this Weekend

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  The "Silver Shark" Scott James and the #s44 team invaded the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 13-14 for the annual running of the 'North/South 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the $50,000 to win crown jewel event and a huge standing-room-only crowd was on hand at the Cincinnati area venue. Scott kicked off the weekend by posting the twenty-fourth quickest lap in his group during the qualifying session on Friday night. Unfortunately, Scott was unable to transfer into the 100-lap main event on Saturday evening after finishing seventh in his stacked heat race and eleventh in his B-Main. Full results from Florence can be located online at www.lucasdirt.com.

The Scotty Earl Racing team and driver Scott James will look to get back on track this upcoming weekend (August 20-21) in a pair of unsanctioned events in the Buckeye State of Ohio.  On Friday night, the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio will play host to the $5,000 to win ‘Victor Ike Moler Memorial,’ while the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio will close out the weekend on Saturday with the $4,000 to win ‘Fred Dillow Memorial.’ Additional information on both programs can be accessed by visiting www.molerracewaypark.com and www.portsraceway.com.

All summer long, fans are encouraged to donate money for Scott James to “Brave the Shave!”  The campaign, which kicked off at the ‘Dream 100’ in early June, will culminate during the ‘World 100’ weekend at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on September 9-11.  Scott, along with twenty other drivers, will shave their heads at Eldora to raise money for three worthy cancer charities.  You can learn more about A Head for A Cure and the “Brave the Shave” campaign by clicking on www.ahead4acure.com.

Keep up with the “Silver Shark” Scott James all year long by accessing his official home on the Internet located at www.scottjamesmotorsports.com.
