50% Pre-Entry Discount for $250,000 Black Diamond Extended to August 30(MARS PA) - The nation's newest mega-Super Late Model event will rock the hills of West Virginia on September 3-4-5. "The Black Diamond" at the Tyler County Speedway will pay over $250,000 of total prize money. The Super Late Models will compete for an overall total of $80,000 available to win with $60,000 available to win for each driver. E-mods will compete for $10,000 to win in the "Modified National Championship" and FASTRAK Crate motors paying $3,000 to win! This incredible event has been designed to pay out the most prize money among the most race teams of any race of its stature.
With pre-entries continuing to arrive daily, Circle Track Management Group has extended the pre-entry discount through August 30. Drivers can still pre-enter "The Black Diamond 125" and the "Modified National Championship" at a 50% discount rate. Drivers may call in pre-entry at 304-991-8092 or fax pre-entry to 304-665-9402. Super Late Model discount pre-entry is $100 and runs through August 30, 2010. Super Late Model entry after August 30 will be $200 for those that are not pre-registered. Friday night's UFo "WV State Championship" will have no car entry fee. E-mod pre-entry is currently only $50 through August 30, 2010. E-mod entry then will be $100. Highly discounted advance tickets are currently on sale for "The Black Diamond" weekend. A 3-day adult grandstand ticket is only $38 with a 3-day, all-access pit pass at $53. Advance tickets must be purchased by Sept. 2, 2010 and can be ordered by calling (304) 758-4253.
The massive weekend will kick off on Friday Night, September 3 with the running of the UFo "WV State Championship" finale. The UFo Super Late Models will compete in a full racing program with the Area 51-lap feature paying $10,000 to the winner and $400 to start. This event will be the finale of the 2010 WV State Championship races at Tyler County. The winner of the "WV State Championship" feature will receive a guaranteed starting position in the 1st feature of "The Black Diamond" on Saturday night, with the overall points winner of the WV State Championship races receiving a guaranteed starting position in the 2nd feature.
Friday night will feature a late model double-header as the FASTRAK crate motor Pro-Late Models will compete for $3,000 to win, 30 lap event. The AMRA E-mods, TSMA Hot Mods, Pure Stocks, AMRA Mod-Lites and Junkyard Warriors will also be on the racing program.
On Saturday night, September 4, Tyler County Speedway will be the site of the biggest Super Late Model event ever in the eastern states! "The Black Diamond 125" will feature 3 unsanctioned Super Late Model features paying an overall total of $50,000 to win. The field will be spilt into half upon completion for registration. Each half of the field will compete in its own full racing program. Two $20,000 to win, $1,000 to start, 50-lap preliminary feature races will be run for the top 24 cars from each half of the field. 48 drivers will win at least $1,000 on Saturday night in addition to their winnings from Friday night.
The top 8 finishers from each of Saturday's preliminary feature will then be combined into the 25-lap "Black Diamond" finale paying $10,000 to the winner . The winners of the preliminary features will start 15th and 16th while a total redraw among the other 14 qualifying drivers will determine the first 7 rows for that race. If either of those preliminary winners wins the 25-lap finale, they will earn an additional $20,000 bonus! A driver winning Friday night's UFo "WV State Championship", either of the two preliminary "Black Diamond" features and "The Black Diamond" finale will collect $60,000. Practice time will also be available for the E-mods on Saturday night.
The E-mods will shine in the spotlight on Sunday night, September 5 with the running of the "Modified National Championship." $10,000 will be paid to the winner of the 100 lap E-mod championship feature. Mammoth fields of Super Late Models and E-mods are expected for "The Black Diamond" weekend at Tyler County as the wide, ¼ mile supertrack allows a high number of race teams to be competitive to win the big payoffs.
Monday, September 6 is a raindate in case of inclement weather during "The Black Diamond" weekend. Gate times and one day ticket prices will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
