Dewaine Hottinger To Debut Retro Graphics Scheme in Topless 100

Russellville, Arkansas (08/16/10) – After a few weeks away from the track, Dewaine Hottinger is eager to return to action this weekend, August 19th-21st, as the team enters the 18th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas.

Even though Dewaine spent the past few weeks away from the track, he was still quite busy as he freshened his racing equipment and also got married! Hottinger will be debuting a special, commemorative graphics’ schemed this weekend at the 18th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100. The car will be the familiar turquoise color that Dewaine ran for several years early in his career. In addition, Dewaine’s Father (Doug) and Uncle (Jimmy) ran the same color scheme and the #65 during their racing careers.

The team will go into battle this weekend with a heavy heart as Dewaine’s Uncle, Jimmy, passed away on Monday. Hott Motorsports is motivated for the weekend and will be dedicating their outing to Jimmy’s memory.

The 18th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 weekend will get underway on Thursday with an Open Practice Session. The team will have their #65 Hott Motorsports/Doug’s Electrical Services/GRT/Hatfield Racing Engine Super Late Model ready for action on Friday as time trials and heat race action will be held. Saturday will see b-mains as well as the $40,000 to win/$2,000 to start, 100 lap finale. The event will be sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model Series (LODLMS), and the SPEED TV cameras will be on hand to capture all of the action. Hott Racing would like to thank its sponsors including Kirby Specialties Corporation, Doug’s Electrical Service, Bill Frye Motorsports, MSRMafia.com, O.H. Hendricks Sheet Metal, and Rocket Chassis.
