Tazewell Speedway hosts Summer Sizzler August 14

Tazewell Speedway hosts the second annual Summer Sizzler on Saturday, August 14. The program will offer higher paying purses to most of its regular divisions and the super late models.

The super late models will be back at Tazewell Speedway for a $2,000 to win event. Drivers such as Rick Rogers, Vic Hill, and Steve Smith will be on hand trying to collect the night’s top prize.

The Tazewell (limited) Late Models will be racing for $1,200. There is also a $200 bounty for any driver that can knock off either Jason Trammell or Travis Fultz. Trammell or Fultz must be in the race and on the lead lap for the winning driver to collect the $200 bounty. One driver could walk away with $1,4000 on the night. Tires will also be subject to testing for chemical treatments.

Also racing will be the modified streets for $500 to win, classic cars for $500 to win, and pure streets for $300. The four cylinders will also be in action.

Ticket prices are $15 for adults, children 10 and under are free. Pit passes are $30.

Tazewell Speedway is located just two miles northwest of Tazewell, Tennessee. Going north on US 25-E, turn right and then left onto Bacchus Rd, and then 1.8 miles north, then .8 miles west and the race track is located on the left.
