David Breazeale Pushes Win Tally To Eight With Southern Win

Laurel, Mississippi (07/27/10) – David Breazeale has truly kicked his season into high gear as he has gone on a tear in his #54 Henderson Motorsports/Mastersbilt/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model, and his latest accomplishment was claiming the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model event on Saturday night at Southern Raceway.

Henderson Motorsports resumed action with the MSCCS Super Late Model action on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida. Twenty-two Super Late Models entered the event, and David Breazeale started the night by setting fast time in his group and fast time overall. He would go on to earn the pole position for the dash, which he won. After starting on the pole for the 50 lap feature, David put on another dominating performance as he claimed the $2,500 win over Shep Lucas and Keith Miller.

Leon Henderson would fall short of locking into the dash via time trials, and as a result he had to run a b-main event, where he finished sixth. Via his finish in the b-main, he started twentieth in the main event. He would go on to race his way through the field to an eleventh place finish in the final rundown.

Breazeale continues to lead the MSCCS tour points. Henderson is sixth in the point's standings and continues to be second in the MSCCS Rookie of the Year battle.

Both drivers will once again be in action this weekend in a single event as they enter the MSCCS sanctioned, $2,500 to win event at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi on Saturday, July 31st.
