Davenport Speedway Races Cancelled for Tonight

DAVENPORT, Ia. (July 23, 2010) -- Rain has washed out the evening’s stock car racing program at the Davenport Speedway. Heavy rains late Friday afternoon, has made track preparation on the quarter-mile dirt oval impossible for tonight.

The racing action will resume next Friday night, July 30th, weather permitting.

After eight races this season, the 2010 point leaders at the Davenport Speedway are:
Petersen Plumbing & Heating IMCA Late Models………..Ray Guss Jr.

Pit gates at Davenport open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5pm. Hot laps are at 6pm and racing starts at 6:30pm.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.

Too Much Water, Too Much Mud Cancels Quincy Raceways for July 25, 2010

3.25 inches of rain on Saturday night have forced the cancellation of the Advance Trading Heetco Night at the Races for Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Quincy Raceways. The next few weeks schedule has been revised with Heetco and Advance Trading Night being on Sunday, Aug. 1, The Budweiser/Rinella Distributing Noxin Trucking Night on Sunday, Aug. 8, and Albertson Auto Body and Terrible’s Mark Twain Casino Fan Appreciation Night at the Races on Sunday, Aug. 15. The Blessing Health System Salute to Industry Night will be moved to Sunday, August 1 on the Advance Trading Heetco Night at the Races.

Big Diamond Postponed due to Weather

July 25, 2010 - Jason Shank - All Star Championship Racing Inc.

Officials with the Big Diamond Raceway and O'Reilly All Star Late Model
Series have been forced to postpone the $5,000 to win 'Big Diamond All Star
50' because of a persistant rain throughout the Minersville, PA area and an
unfavorable evening forecast.

'We wanted to make an early decision because we knew we had drivers and
fans traveling long distances to attend the show,' Series Director Jason
Shank said. 'We'll work with track promoter Buddy Beaver to reschedule this
show, I'm sure we'll be able to work together to find a date that works for
everyone involved.'

Up next for the O'Reilly All Star Late Model Series is the $4,000 to win
'Summer Sizzler' on August 2 at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH.
