David Breazeale Tops MSCCS Action At Hattiesburg


Laurel, Mississippi (07/21/10) – David Breazeale continued his torrid pace in the #54 Henderson Motorsports/Mastersbilt/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model over the weekend as he picked up his seventh win of the 2010 campaign.

The team set out to enter a pair of MSCCS Super Late Model events over the weekend, although Mother Nature would claim the second night of the double header on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi.

Both drivers did get to compete on Friday night in a $2,000 to win, MSCCS event at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. David Breazeale started the night by setting quick time in his group and quick time overall to lock into the pole-sitter's dash. He went on to win the dash, which gave him the pole position for the feature event. He would lead the entire feature en route to the victory, which was his seventh of the year.

Leon Henderson powered his #10 Mastersbilt to the fourth fastest time in his group, which also locked him into the pole sitters dash, where he finished 8th to pick up the 8th starting spot for the 40 lap feature. In the feature he would race around midpack for the entire event before picking up an 11th place finish.

Both drivers will be in action this weekend in a single event as they enter the MSCCS sanctioned, $2,500 to win event at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida on Saturday, July 24th. Entering the event, Breazeale is the current tour point’s leader, while Henderson sits seventh in the standings and second in the rookie of the year points.
