Midwest City, Oklahoma - A big two day weekend of racing action await the O’Reilly/NCRA late model drivers as the series heads to Eagle Raceway in Lincoln, Nebraska this coming Friday night for a special “Rumble in the Bullring” event with added money on the line. From there the super late model drivers will head south down Hwy. 75 to Dave and Mike Conkwrights Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, Kansas for a Saturday night outing on the Hill.

This Friday nights trip to Eagle Raceway will be the first appearance for the series since a July 3, 2008 stop where it was Elk Mound, Wisconsin driver John Kaanta picking up the victory. Before that, the O’Reilly/NCRA late model division had only competed three other times, all coming back in 2002 when Billy Moyer, Dale McDowell and Alan Vaughn.

As mentioned, there will be a special payout for this “Rumble in the Bullring” event as the nights forty lap feature winner will receive $3000 while a special twenty-four car starting field will earn $500.

Then on Saturday night it is on to Thunder Hill Speedway in Mayetta, Kansas in, shockingly enough, only the third appearance for the series late model division at the track located North of Topeka. On the previous two events held at the track, they came on the same weekend as Missouri driver Jessie Stovall swept the weekend during the running of “Thunder on the Hill ii.” The event will be the standard $2500 to win, $400 to win feature finale with all non-transfer cars earning $100.

Coming into the weekend, four- time series champion Kelly Boen of Henderson, Colorado is once again sitting atop the point standings and is expected to compete along with Bellevue, Nebraska’s Corey Zeitner having a strong season thus far and currently second in the point standings. Other tour regulars expected on the weekend include leading rookie candidate Jace Kaser (Lincoln), Wylan Petrie, Shawn Harker (Plattsmouth), two-time series champion Al Purkey (Coffeyville, Kansas), Jason O’Brien (Atlantic, Iowa), Bill Koons (Omaha), defending series champion Kyle Berck Marquette, Nebraska) , Jerry Warner (Lavesta, Nebraska), Dean Moore (Grand Junction, Nebraska and Delbert Smith (Wichita, Kansas).

Other drivers expected to drop in include John Anderson, Steve Kosiski, Travis Dickies, Mike Wiarda, Bo Egge and Alonzo Grosse. Over forty drivers are expected.

Friday nights “Rumble in the Bullring” at Eagle Raceway gets under way Friday night with front gates opening at 5:30 PM with racing at 7:30 PM. Adult general admission is $20 for ages 13 and up, youth ages 6-12 for $5 and children five and under admitted free.
