Back in the Day! . . . Take Two!
Rescheduled Nostalgia Night highlights Fab Four Racing on July 16

SARVER, PA (July 15, 2010) Apparently Mother Nature is not much for reminiscing, as last Friday’s Nostalgia Night of Fab Four Racing was postponed due to a wicked band of thunderstorms that ripped through Western Pennsylvania. Nostalgia Night has been rescheduled for this Friday, July 16 as part of Fab Four Racing. Friday is also Dollar Dog Night, as hot dogs will be on sale at the concession stand all night long for just a buck!

Retired drivers will be on hand to meet & greet the fans, sign autographs and talk about the “good old days” from 5:00PM until 7:00PM.

Scheduled to attend Nostalgia Night are: Johnny Axe, (winner of the first feature at Lernerville Speedway), Lernerville Speedway Hall of Famers Dick Bailey, Dick Swartzlander, Ed Lynch Sr., Dave Hoffman, Blackie and Ralph Quarterson, Ray Baselj, Skip Bertges, Paul Brougher, Harley Chuba, Bob Davidson, Lou Gentile, Howie Goss, Harry Hein, Doc Harmon, Kenny & Kevin Harris, Mark Harvanek, Larry Johnston, Walt Keller, George Leon, Dave Lundy, Rick Majors, Jim Magill, Jerry Matus, Dave Meloy, Chuck McDowell, Ron McIntyre, Dave Mohn, Mark Muehlman, the not yet retired Carl Murdick, Art Osmer, Barry Peters, John Phillips, Frank Raiti, Dave Rupp, Deek Scott, Pit Boss Smokey Schempp, Gus Sholich, Jack Sodeman Sr., Bob Stanford, Bruce Taylor, Dave Thompson, Jim & Tom Valasek and Bill Wheeling.

Nostalgia Cars scheduled to be on display include Paul Backus’ Deek Modified #7A, Lynn Geisler’s Webster PRA #7, Howie Goss’ 1957 Chevy 12J, Jorn (Yawn) Jenson’s #28 Race Car, Jerry McDowell’s Sprint #22, Junior Radvansky’s Midget Race Car, Tom Robertson’s Scott #180 Coupe, Darwin Stivenson’s Old Chevy Coupe, John Astarb’s Kennedy’s #9 Late Model and Bob Stanford’s 1983 Porsche mid engine 427 Chevy.

While we’re on the topic of nostalgia, sprint car fans will feel a sense of it next Tuesday, July 20 as former World of Outlaws Champion Dave Blaney returns to competition at the Action Track for the first time in over a decade during the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup XIX Twin 30s. Advance tickets will be available through Monday, July 19 at 11:59 at www.Lernerville.com by clicking the “Buy Tickets’ icon, or until the end of the business day on Monday at (724) 353-1511. Tickets will also be on sale tomorrow night at the speedway. All advance ticket purchases will include a FREE pit pass upgrade!

The 4th Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com will be broadcast this Saturday, July 17 on SPEED from 5:00-7:00PM. Tune in, set your DVR, TiVo or even VCR, but don’t miss this two hour broadcast of the thrilling three-day Firecracker weekend. Relive the excitement of Josh Richards’ and Tim McCreadie’s preliminary victories, as well as Brian Birkhofer’s Uncle Sam 30 win and Saturday Night’s thrilling, $30,000 victory by Shane Clanton. That’s the Firecracker 100, this Saturday, July 17 on SPEED from 5:00-7:00PM!
