Billy Moyer Prepares for Magnolia After Summer Nationals Weekend Sweep

(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer and his #21 team racked up their fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth victories of the 2010 racing season from July 1-3 in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Missouri! Billy, who started out the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour on fire, continued that trend over the weekend by sweeping series events at the Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee, Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, and I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri. The trio of wins netted the Batesville, Arkansas driver a total of $25,000.

Billy set fast time and won his heat race at all three venues, which allowed him to start towards the front of each of the three 40-lap main events. On Thursday at Clayhill, Billy led the final seventeen circuits of the A-Main to record the $5,000 triumph over Dennis Erb, Jason Feger, Billy Moyer, Jr., and Shannon Babb. At Paducah on Friday, "Mr. Smooth" led flag-to-flag to score the $10,000 victory over Jimmy Mars, Jason Feger, Scott James, and Jeep Van Wormer. In the weekend finale at Pevely on Saturday, Billy dominated the feature to earn another $10,000 top prize over Will Vaught, Brian Birkhofer, Billy Moyer, Jr., and Dennis Erb. Complete results from all three "Hell Tour" showdowns can be found online at www.thehelltour.com.

"The Summer Nationals have been pretty good to us this year," understated Moyer, who has won six of the seven "Hell Tour" races that he has entered in 2010. "Like I keep saying, we are on top of the mountain right now and we are going to try everything in our power to stay up there. I have been down in the valleys before too, but I can say for sure that winning races like we are doing now is a lot more fun. We have had some success in the past at Magnolia, so I think the whole team is pretty pumped up about racing at that place this weekend!"

Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) will now concentrate their efforts on the upcoming 'Clash at the Mag' at the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on July 9-10. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again preside over the 2nd annual event, which boasts a hefty $20,000 winner's check. Qualifying and heat race action are scheduled for this Friday night, while the B-Mains and the 'Clash at the Mag' will wrap up the weekend on Saturday evening. The 100-lap event will be taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel and broadcast on Saturday, July 31 at 6:00 PM Eastern/5:00 PM Central. Additional information concerning this premier show can be found online at www.lucasdirt.com.
