MOUNTAIN RACEWAY PARK NeSMITH CHEVROLET DLMS RACE A ONE-DAY SHOWCARTERSVILLE, GA – NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series officials have announced that the National Touring event at Mountain Raceway Park in Maryville, TN on July 10 will be a 50-lap $3,000-to-win one-day show. The event was originally scheduled to be a $4,000-to-win two-day show, but the series has cut it back to a one-day show for economic reasons.
“In the current economy, it is getting more difficult to ask the teams and the race fans to spend more money in race tickets and expenses to see in two days what they can see in one day,” NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series Founder and Director Mike Vaughn said. “It was in everyone’s best interest financially to pull the show back to one day, and still put on a complete show.”
The Mountain Raceway Park race is scheduled to be Round 15 of the 2010 NeSmith Chevrolet DLMS National Touring season. The series competes this weekend in the three-race Firecracker Nationals.
The NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model series competes tonight at 441 Speedway in Dublin, GA tonight in the $2,000-to-win Star and Stripes 40, and again on Saturday night in the $2,500-to-win Salute To American 50. The finale for the Firecracker Nationals is set for Sunday night at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, AL with the $2,500-to-win Salute To The Armed Forces 50.
