Scott James Charges to Third at Florence; Gears Up for Three Race Holiday Weekend

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  The Scotty Earl Racing team and driver Scott James ventured to the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky last Saturday night, June 26 for a $2,000 to win program. Scott ran third in heat race action at the Cincinnati area venue and later started ninth in the A-Main. During the course of the unsanctioned feature event, the driver known as the "Silver Shark" charged past six competitors en route to a strong third place performance behind only winner Mike Jewell and runner-up Cody Mahoney. Scott and the #s44 team plan to hit the road with the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour this upcoming weekend with stops in Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois.  The Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky will play host to a $10,000 to win “Hell Tour” showdown on Friday, July 2, while the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri will do the same on Saturday, July 3.  The tripleheader weekend will then conclude on Sunday, July 4 with a $5,000 to win show at the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois.  Additional information on the ultra-busy weekend can be found online at www.thehelltour.com.
