Ross Camponovo Snares First Win of 2010; Four Crown Nationals Up Next

Clarksdale, Mississippi (06/29/10) – To say that the first part of the season has been frustrating for RC Motorsports would be an understatement, but on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway, Ross Camponovo finally got things on track as he picked up his first win of 2010.

Ross enjoyed a great night at the track on Saturday night at Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi as he pulled double duty in the Super Late Model and Crate Late Model division. In the Crate Late Model division, Camponovo started in the 4th position and raced his way to the front of the pack early in the feature event, and went on to claim the win, which was his first of the year!

In the Super Late Model division, Ross started 3rd in the feature event and battled for the lead for much of the event before settling for a solid second place finish behind event winner, Doug Showah.

This weekend will be a busy time for Ross and RC Motorsports as he sets out to enter four events in the state of Mississippi. Camponovo will be chasing the Four Crown Nationals, which will see four nights of racing, featuring $2,000 to win shows, which will be sanctioned by the PRO Dirt Car Super Late Model tour and the NeSmith Super Dirt Car Super Late Model tour. Here is the schedule for the weekend:
July 1st: Greenville Speedway (Greenville, MS) - $2,000 To Win
July 2nd: Central Mississippi Speedway (Winona, MS) - $2,000 To Win
July 3rd: Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, MS) - $2,000 To Win
July 4th: Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, MS) - $2,000 To Win
