Scott James Eyes Florence and Haubstadt this Upcoming Weekend(BRIGHT, INDIANA) Scott James and the Scotty Earl Racing team entered a trio of Dirt Late Model races from June 16-19 in the states of Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. On Wednesday night, the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana kicked off the grueling UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals campaign. Scott timed in second quickest in his group during qualifying and later won his heat race. After drawing the fifth starting spot in the $5,000 to win feature event, Scott hung around the top ten for the entire 40-lapper before winding up in the tenth position.
Friday evening took the #s44 team to the Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, Ohio for an American Late Model Series (ALMS) show. Unfortunately, Scott did not finish the $2,000 to win feature event and was credited with a twenty-second place finish. A similar story was told again on Saturday at the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky, as the "Silver Shark" netted another twenty-second place effort in a $2,000 to win unsanctioned show after breaking an oil pump belt while leading. Complete results from all three venues can be found online at

Scott and the #s44 team have two races penciled in for the upcoming weekend. The Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky will play host to another $2,000 to win unsanctioned program this Saturday night, June 26.
The immaculate Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana will then close out the doubleheader weekend on Sunday, June 27. A $5,000 top prize will be up for grabs at the southwestern Indiana facility, as the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour rolls into town. Additional information concerning both races can be located at
