DART Challenge Series run slated
Series ready for Fourth of July weekend swing

By Rob Fogle, Dart Challenge Series Director  Sioux Falls, SD (June 22, 2010)
Mother Nature grabbed the lead and never looked back after the conclusion of hot laps at Tom Clusiau’s Grand Rapids Speedway in Grand Rapids, MN on Thursday, June 17, which forced the cancellation of the first ever DART Challenge Series for WISSOTA Late Models event at the facility. A total of 33 AMSOIL Dirt Track Series drivers from across WISSOTA country made the trek to the 3/8 mile semi-banked clay oval.

The DART Challenge Series schedule heats up over the Fourth of July weekend with a return visit to the newly configured Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, WI on Friday July 2 for a $3,000-to-win and $300-to start the 40-lap feature event presented by Joe Provo Race Wear of Chanhassen, MN.

Saturday, July 3, the series moves to the famed Deer Creek Speedway near Spring Valley, MN for their annual “Firecracker Special” brought to you by MBM Global Logistics of Winona, MN. A $3,000 payday awaits the feature winner. The 2004 WISSOTA Track of the Year is operated by the Queensland family and is a must see event on the tour in 2010 at the 3/8 mile clay oval.

The weekend concludes on Sunday, July 4, at Eagle Valley Speedway near Jim Falls, WI with a $2,000-to-win feature sponsored by 92.9 The Big Cheese, 99.9 Bob FM, Miller Lite and Coca-Cola. Track promoters Jerry and Janis Weigel invite everyone out to enjoy a fun filled evening including a fireworks show following the conclusion of the WISSOTA Late Model main event on the 1/3 mile high banked clay oval.

Justin Fegers of Minnetonka, MN continues to lead the DART Challenge Series point standings over Kent Arment of Aberdeen, SD. Pat Doar of New Richmond, WI, John Kaanta of Elk Mound, WI and Brian Diede of Huron, SD round out the top five.

The 2010 DART Challenge Series is brought to you by DART, Joe Provo Race Wear, Lou Fegers Racing Equipment, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Raceceiver and Speednet Direct. For series information contact director Rob Fogle via email at dartchallengeseries@gmail.com.
