Kyle Beard Claims First Win of 2010; Takes MSRA Point’s Lead

Trumann, AR (06/16/10) – Kyle Beard enjoyed a great weekend behind the wheel of his #86 GRT By Frye/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model as he claimed his first win of 2010 and took the lead in the COMP Cams MSRA standings.

The team took part in two COMP Cams MSRA events over the weekend in what turned out to be Kyle's best performances of the year. On Friday night, he was in action at Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri. After advancing from 8th to 3rd in his heat race he picked up the 6th starting spot for the 30 lap, $2,000 to win event. He would work his way up to a 3rd place finish in the final rundown behind event winner, Dane Dacus, and Dewaine Hottinger.

On Saturday night, Kyle made the return to his home track, Northeast Arkansas Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Twenty-four Super Late Models entered the event and via passing points, Kyle earned the outside front row starting spot for the 40 lap finale alongside pole sitter, Jeff Floyd. At the drop of the green flag, Kyle set sail and began to drive away from the field. By the time that the event's only caution waved on lap 30, he had lapped all the way up to the 9th position. On the ensuing restart, he would once again motor away from the competition to his first win of the year, which was worth $2,000!

Kyle is now the COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model point's leader with a 13 point advantage over second place, Joey Mack.

Kyle will take the upcoming weekend off from racing, but will return to action on Friday, June 25th with a $2,000 to win, COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model event at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas. For more information, please visit www.MSRADirt.com and www.BeebeSpeedway.com .
