Cornett Racing Engines and Ford to Supply Powerplants for NASRA Competitors

WHITELAND, IN (June 15, 2010) - The National All Stars Racing Association (NASRA) Super Late Model Series is pleased to announce that competitors will now be able to utilize a Ford powerplant as an alternative to the current GM CT525 engine. An agreement was recently reached between Cornett Racing Engines located in Somerset, KY and Ford Motor Company to produce a sealed engine that is comparable in cubic inch displacement and horsepower to its GM counterpart.

Cornett Racing Engines will be the manufacturer and be the official rebuilder of the 376 CI sealed engine.
Anyone who would like to learn more about the Ford alternative to the GM CT525 should contact Jack Cornett at (606) 679-2226 or Series Director Frank Revel at (859)582-8005.

Super Late Model drivers who choose to use the Ford engine will be given the same weight breaks given the CT525 engine as well as the advantage of a high performance engine at a huge economical savings to the “open” engine.

The next NASRA Super Late Model events will be June 18th and 19th at Ponderosa Speedway and Bluegrass Speedway. The Friday night event at Ponderosa Speedway will be the 9th annual June Jam paying the winner $2,000. The Saturday night event at Bluegrass Speedway will be the 9th annual June Jam paying the winner $3,000.

For more information on the NASRA Super Late Model Series please contact Series Director Frank Revel at
