Grand Rapids geared up for first ever DART Challenge Series show

Sioux Falls, SD - The story continues on Thursday June 17 at Tom Clusiau’s Grand Rapids Speedway in Grand Rapids, MN as late model pilots of the AMSOIL DIRT Track Series go toe to toe for the $2,000 top prize.

The first ever Challenge Series event at the 3/8 mile semi banked clay oval is brought to you by SafeFloors.US, Como Oil & Propane, Putt-N-Go Amusement Park and Maddogs Pizza.

WISSOTA Late Models from across the Midwest will be joined by WISSOTA Modified, WISSOTA Midwest Modified and Pure Stock drivers from the Iron Range.

Justin Fegers of Minnetonka, MN currently leads the DART Challenge Series point standings over Kent Arment of Aberdeen, SD. Pat Doar of New Richmond, WI, John Kaanta of Elk Mound, WI and Brian Diede of Huron, SD round out the top five.

Grandstands open at 5 pm with racing beginning at 7. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students, military and seniors. Children 12 and under are free with a paid adult.

Pit gates open at 4 pm with draw cut off at 6:30. Late Model car and driver entry fee is $80. Pit passes are $30. Drivers’ meeting is scheduled at 6:15 pm with hot laps beginning at 6:30. For more information visit www.grandrapidsspeedway.net or contact the speedway at 218-326-4437.
