Ponderosa Speedway Presents NASRA $2,000 to win Event on Friday June 18

Junction City, KY-June 10, 2010- Ponderosa Speedway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz will host the National All Star Racing Association at “Kentucky’s Baddest Bullring” on Friday June 18 as the NASRA makes its second appearance of the 2010 race season at the 3/8 mile D-shaped red clay oval in a $2,000 to win event.

On Friday June 18, the National All Star Racing Association will be in action at Ponderosa Speedway in a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the $2,000 to win A-Main event. Also on the June 18 racing program in weekly racing series competition will be the Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models for $600 to win, Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds for $600 to win, and the D&D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman for $300 to win. It will also be double track points for the Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Model division on Friday June 18.

Activities for this June 18 event at Ponderosa Speedway will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the grandstand area open at 5:00 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting takes place at 6:45 p.m., with practice set for 7:00 p.m. Time trials will begin at 7:30 p.m., with racing taking the green flag at 8:30 p.m. Ticket prices in the general admission area will be $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and children under age 6 are free. A pit pass will be $30.

Ponderosa Speedway last raced on June 4 and feature event winners included Jeff Johnson of Junction City, KY in Bob Allen Motor Mall Pro Late Models, J.T. Ayers of New Haven, KY in Clayton Homes UMP Modifieds, and Gerald Haynes, Jr. of Somerset, KY in D&D Pallet Recyclers UMP Sportsman, while the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models were off.

Ponderosa Speedway is located just off of 365 Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY. Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are the track promoters and present dirt track sports entertainment on Friday evenings from April through early October.
