Josh McGuire Pockets $3,000 at 201; Looks Ahead to Skyline and Richmond

(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Josh McGuire and his #41 Dirt Late Model team visited victory lane for the third time in 2010 on Saturday night, June 5 at the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky! A night after scratching from the $1,500 to win program at the Skyline (OH) Speedway due to mechanical issues, Josh rebounded in a big way on Saturday at 201. The Grayson, Kentucky native laid down the fastest lap during qualifying and later won his heat race. Josh then grabbed the point on the eighth circuit of the A-Main and led the remainder of the race to pocket the $3,000 payday ahead of Jackie Boggs, Michael P. Howard, D.J. Wells, and Terry Hicks. Complete results from the unsanctioned show at 201 can be found online at www.race201.com.

"It was good to rebound on Saturday night with a win at 201," exclaimed McGuire this week while working on his equipment. "We had a disappointing night with a part failure on Friday at Skyline, but everyone worked really hard on Saturday to get ready for 201. I followed Jackie (Boggs) for awhile on the bottom at the start of the race, but knew I had to move up the track to get by him for the lead. Luckily, my car worked really well on the high side and we were able to get the win. I have to thank everyone associated with my program for their support and we will try to get back into victory lane this weekend at Skyline and Richmond!"

The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team will look for another successful weekend at the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio and the Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Kentucky on June 11-12. A $2,000 top prize is on the line on Friday at Skyline, while the 23rd Annual 'Paul "Butterball" Wooldridge Memorial' will be held on Saturday at Richmond. The one-day show will be headlined by a $5,000 to win feature event. Additional information on both of these races can be found online at www.skylinespeedway.net and www.richmond-raceway.net.
