Ferguson Pockets SASE $3,000 to Win and Runner Up at Clash $4,000
Chris Ferguson Motorsports has the momentum bug

Mount Holly, NC. - Chris Ferguson has got the monkey off his back, and in a big way. After posting runner up honors in his last two races, Ferguson's Starrette Trucking and Specialized Hauling Team made the short trip down to Cherokee Speedway. This weekend was definite addition to the teams confidence and momentum that they needed, and a week prior to Eldora's prestigious "Dream". Chris Ferguson Motorsports carted the #22 Starrette Trucking machine to the Cherokee Speedway for the $3,000 to Win Southern Allstars East Series event. Chris Madden took the pole and "Fergy Time" sat in a close 2nd fast on the stop watch. "It seems like everywhere we go, me and Chris (Madden) are always on the front row together" Said a laughing Ferguson. When the drop of the green flag came it was Madden who took the point for the majority of the race, until about 10 to go when Chris turned up the heat, and "Smoked" by Madden to take the lead. Ferguson brought home his first major victory of 2010, and it was a thoughtful one. "I really have a lot to be thankful for and there has been a lot of people supporting me...Mike Butler was one of those who has supported me forever, this one is for him" Said Chris.

Saturday Night Carolina Clash series race was held at Fayetteville Speedway, where the point's battle is as intense as it ever has been in the history of the series. Fayetteville has been a successful place for Ferguson, but has also brought the young racer some bad luck. There is no better way to shake bad luck then to qualify on the Pole, and that's just what he did. Sitting second in the points standing, only 8 points out of the lead, it seemed as if the Mount Holly, NC. Driver has the momentum bug, as he took the 22 machine to the front early in the A-Main event. It was with about 5 to go when a lap car stopped Ferguson's chances at a weekend sweep. As Ferguson was passing the lap car on the outside down the front stretch, the slower lap car made a right turn into Ferguson's left front tire causing "Fergy" to make contact with the wall. Jordan Bland made the move on Ferguson going into the next corner to take the lead. Chris recovered and was able to bring home another solid finish in second, and the CFM team couldn't be happier. "It would have been nice to bring home two in a row, but I definitely can't complain about our weekend at all" The team now has their eyes set on the famous "Dream" at Eldora Speedway, where Chris Ferguson Motorsports is hoping to have a good showing, and make the event for their first time. Momentum is key in any sport, and with this successful weekend leading up to the biggest race of their season, it's something that has all Dirt Late Model fans wondering what's going to happen next.
