Davenport Speedway Races Cancelled for Tonight

DAVENPORT, Ia. (June 4, 2010) -- For the fourth time already in the 2010 racing season, rain has washed out the evening’s stock car racing program at the Davenport Speedway. Rain throughout Friday morning, has made track preparation on the quarter-mile dirt oval impossible for tonight.

The racing action will resume next Friday night, June 11th, with the races sponsored by Casey’s General Stores.

After three races this season, the point leaders at the Davenport Speedway are:

Pit gates at Davenport open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5pm. Hot laps are at 6pm and racing starts at 6:30pm.

The Davenport Speedway is located at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, on West Locust Street, in Davenport.
