"It was a pretty good weekend for us, especially with the win at Mt. Pleasant," exclaimed Van Wormer this week from his race shop. "We passed a lot of cars in the heat race after not getting a time during qualifying and luckily drew the pole position for the feature. The car performed great all race long and we were able to celebrate in victory lane in front of a bunch of family and friends. I have to thank everyone that is associated with this race team, as it has been a good start to the season and hopefully things continue to roll throughout the year!"
The IMS team plans to unveil a new Rocket Chassis this Saturday evening, June 5 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky.
