Klint Byars Scores Top 5 in PRO Action At Whynot

Carrollton, Mississippi (06/02/10) –Klint Byars enjoyed a strong run on Saturday night at Whynot Motorsports Park in P.R.O. Super Late Model Series action in his #5 Southern Belle/K&K Motorsports/GRT/Roush Yates Racing Engine Super Late Model as he came away with a top five finish.

Klint and K&K Motorsports set out to enter two events over the Memorial Day weekend, but rain claimed the Sunday night event at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. As a result, they entered a sole event over the holiday weekend, which was at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi. The $2,000 to win, PRO Dirt Car event drew a field of 35 Super Late Models, and Klint started the night by qualifing fastest in his group and second fastest overall to lock into the outside front row starting spot for the 40 lap feature. He would battle throughout the top five during the course of the event before racing his way to a 5th place finish behind event winner, Rick Rickman, Dane Dacus, Jason Cliburn, and David Breazeale. Klint is currently fifth in the latest PRO Dirt Car Series standings.

The team will once again try to enter two events this weekend in the state of Mississippi. On Friday, they will be in action in the $2,000 to win, PRO Dirt Car Super Late Model Series event at Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, Mississippi.
