Scott James Prepares for Florence and Eldora Over Memorial Day Weekend

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  The "Silver Shark" Scott James and his #83 Dirt Late Model team traveled to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky once again on Saturday evening, May 22 after Mother Nature cancelled their scheduled events in Illinois and Missouri. A regularly scheduled program was held at Florence and a $1,500 top prize awaited the winner. Scott unfortunately suffered a flat tire in his heat race, but later put on a show in the
B-Main.

After starting fifteenth in the consolation race, Scott blasted past twelve cars en route to capturing the third transfer position into the A-Main. The Bright, Indiana native was poised to do the same thing from his twenty-third starting spot in the feature, but a late-race bout with a rut caused him to spin out of the top five. Scott wound up credited with a seventeenth place performance at Florence on Saturday. You can view complete results from the 1/2-mile venue by logging onto www.florencespeedway.com.

The Memorial Day holiday weekend will take Scott to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky once again, as well as the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.  Scott will pilot the #s44 for the Scotty Earl Racing team on Saturday, May 29 in a $1,500 to win regular weekly show at Florence and on Sunday, May 30 in a $2,000 to win ALMS event at the “Big E.”  Additional information on the programs at Florence and Eldora can be found online at www.florencespeedway.com and www.eldoraspeedway.com.
