Scott James Plans on Granite City and Pevely Again this Weekend

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  Scott James was scheduled to shake down his new #83 Rocket Chassis at the Tri-City (IL) Speedway and the I-55 (MO) Raceway over the May 14-15 weekend, but Mother Nature washed away both of those regular weekly UMP DIRTcar Series shows.  Instead, Scott traveled back to the Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday evening to compete in a $2,000 to win unsanctioned event.

Piloting Jeff Raisor's #55 racecar, Scott ran fourth in heat race action from the tail of the field, which lined him up starting eighth in the A-Main.  The Bright, Indiana driver was later hanging around in the top ten when his right rear tire started going flat, which took him out of competition and caused him not to finish the main event.  You can view complete results from the Florence Speedway by logging onto www.florencespeedway.com.

The driver known as the “Silver Shark” plans on invading the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and the I-55 Raceway in Pevely, Missouri again this upcoming weekend.  A pair of $1,200 to win UMP DIRTcar Series races will be held on Friday, May 21 at Granite City and Saturday, May 22 at Pevely.  Scott will compete at both venues behind the wheel of his TMCI Transportation / Gerstner & Sons Plumbing / DPL Consulting Services #83 Rocket / Dargie entry this weekend in the St. Louis area.  Additional information on the doubleheader can be found online at www.tricityspeedway.net and www.i55raceway.com.

Major supporters of Scott’s new #83 ride include:  TMCI Transportation, Gerstner & Sons Plumbing, Thomas Trucking – Norwood, Ohio, DPL Consulting Services, Jerry’s Truck & Diesel, AFCO Racing Products, VP Racing Fuels, Rocket Chassis, and Dargie Race Engines.  Keep up with the “Silver Shark” Scott James all year long by accessing his official home on the Internet located at www.scottjamesmotorsports.com.
