Klint Byars Returns to PRO Action This Weekend

Carrollton, Mississippi (05/19/10) –Klint Byars will resume his pursuit of the P.R.O. Super Late Model Series title this weekend in his #5 Southern Belle/K&K Motorsports/GRT/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model.

It was a busy weekend for K&K Motorsports as the team initially traveled to Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama for the 1st Annual Red Farmer Classic. The $9,700 to win event drew 31 Super Late Models on Friday, and Klint would struggle with the setup and tire rule, which relegated him to a finish at the back of his heat race. Left with a starting position at the back of a b-main, the team opted to not return for Saturday's action.

On Saturday night, the team traveled to Johnny Stokes' Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for a Weekly Racing Series Event. Twenty-eight Super Late Models entered the event, and Byars raced his way to a solid 6th place finish behind event winner, Rick Rickman, Jason Cliburn, Rick Rickman, Anthony Burroughs, and Scott Creel. This weekend Byars will return to action with the P.R.O. Super Late Model Series in a pair of events in Alabama and Mississippi. On Friday, May 21st, the team will be in action at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama for a $2,000 to win, 40 lap event. On Saturday, May 22nd, the action shifts to Corinth Speedway in Corinth, Mississippi for another $2,000 to win, 40 lap program.
