Kyle Beard To Enter MSCCS Events in Mississippi This Weekend

Trumann, AR (05/13/10) – Kyle Beard will take his #86 GRT By Frye/Samuels Performance Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle this weekend in a pair of Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model events.  

Kyle was back in action last weekend with the COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model tour on Friday night at USA Speedway in Sterlington, Louisiana. It marked his first ever event at the brand new facility as a stout field of 34 Super Late Models entered the event. Via points accumulated in heat race action, he picked up the 6th starting position for the 30 lap, $2,000 to win feature. Early in the event he would slip back as far as the tenth position before rebounding in the closing laps to a 5th place finish.

Beard Motorsports traveled to 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas on Saturday for another $2,000 to win, COMP Cams MSRA Super Late Model event.  With 23 Super Late Models in action, Kyle locked into the 13th starting position for the 40 lap feature. At the drop of the green flag he began marching his way to the front of the pack, and despite a severe vibration late in the race he managed a 4th place finish, and he earned the Larry Shaw Race Cars Hard Charger Award for advancing the most spots in the feature event.  

With his weekend performances, Kyle currently sits fourth in the latest COMP Cams MSRA standings.

This weekend, the team will make the trek south to Mississippi for a two MSCCS Super Late Model events.  On Friday night, the team will be in action for the first time ever at Hattiesburg Motorsports Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi for a $2,000 to win event before moving over to Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi for a $2,500 to win event on Saturday night.  For more information on the events, please visit www.HattiesburgMotorsportsPark.com, www.JacksonMotorSpeedway.net, and www.StateSeries.com .
