18th Annual DART Show-Me 100 Now just 3-Weeks Away!

Wheatland, MO (May 6th, 2010) - The 18th Annual DART Show-Me 100 Presented by Lucas Oil Products is now just Three (3) short weeks away and reserved tickets are going fast! This year's DART Show-Me 100 will once again feature the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and will take place for the first time ever at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on May 27th-29th, 2010. The Lucas Oil MLRA will also be on the card as they go head to head with the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The "Newport Nightmare" Jimmy Owens has been tearing up the track with his Bloomquist Racecar as of late with wins at both Brownstown, Indiana and Bedford, Pennsylvania and looks to be one of the favorites leading up to this years DART Show-Me 100. Brasstown, North Carolina's Ray Cook and the 2009 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion Scott Bloomquist have also captured wins on the Lucas Dirt trail this Spring and will be top contenders to watch. Mooresburg, Tennesee's Bloomquist sits atop the current Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points.

The man to beat at Lucas Oil Speedway in recent years has been Muscatine, Iowa's Brian Birkhofer and many would think that this year would be no exception but "Birky" has struggled out of the gate in 2010 with no wins and a best finish of 2nd at Bedford, Pennsylvania on April 23rd. Other top names expected to contend include the Multi-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion, Earl Pearson Jr. driving the Bobby Labonte Motorsports entry, "The Real Deal" Don O' Neal from Martinsville, Indiana, and 2010's top Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Rookie at this point in the season, Chris "the Intimigator" Wall.

With a purse approaching $90,000, including $30,000 to the winner, and $1,200 just to start the event, all the top drivers will be in attendance including "Mr. Smooth" Billy Moyer, the "Batesville Bullet" Wendell Wallace, Chickamauga, Georgia's Dale McDowell driving the Clint Bowyer Motorsports entry, the All-Time MLRA Win Leader Terry Phillips out of Springfield, Missouri, Bill Frye, Steve Casebolt, Dennis Erb, John Anderson, Jimmy Mars, Dan Schlieper, and MLRA Champion Al Purkey.

A limited number of 2-Day Reserved tickets for the event are still available and can be ordered by calling the Lucas Oil Speedway office at (417) 282-5984 Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm. Reserved front stretch seating is priced at $55 for the event. Lucas Oil Speedway also offers a picturesque camping area with brand new Shower and Bathroom facilities built in 2009.
