RICHMOND, KY (May 6, 2010) – Richmond Raceway track promoters Joey and Tiffany Tackett are ready to present their first special event of the 2010 season as the 1st Annual UMP Modified Bash will go this Saturday, May 8 with $1,500 to win in the UMP Open Wheel Modified Division.
The event will feature a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30-lap, $1,500 to win 1st Annual UMP Modified Bash A-Main. Also on the racing card for Saturday, May will be the Coyote 100.7 Super Late Models in a 25-lap, $1,000 to win A-Main, the Sportsman in a 20-lap, $400 to win A-Main, and the Road Hogs in a 15-lap, $150 to win A-Main.
In light of the Mother's Day Holiday this weekend, Richmond Raceway has special events and giveaways planned for all women attending this weekend's 1st Annual UMP Modified Bash. Get there early so you don't miss out!
Activities for May 8 will see the pit area open at 4:30 p.m., with the grandstand area opening at 5:30 p.m. A mandatory drivers meeting will take place at 6:00 p.m. with hot laps set to begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by time trials at 7:15 p.m. Ticket prices in the grandstand area will be $15 while a pit pass will go for $27. A $25 inspection fee will apply in the UMP Open Wheel Modified Division.
Richmond Raceway’s most recent events took place on April 17 where feature event winners that night would include Russ Gabbert of Berea, KY in the UMP Open Wheel Modifieds, John Cole of Berea, KY in the Sportsman, and Wayne Duvall of Lexington, KY in the Road Hogs.
