Rex Richey: A Blast From the Past

For Immediate Release

BLAST FROM THE PAST..... REX RICHEY #87

Chattanooga/Ringgold (4/22/10) --- A racer whom needs no introduction... unless he's piloting an unfamiliar # T16 "Hunt Trucking, Choo Choo Materials, Dependable Security Systems" sponsored Crate Late Model, is THE RED HEADED STRANGLER Rex Richey. The Tennessee and Georgia dominator and two-time Southern All-Star Champ of the 1980's and 1990's era has returned to racing full-time (well on weekends) racing the ultra competitive Crate LM class at BOYD's SPEEDWAY. Last weekend fans got a blast from the past as Richey's new (and familiar) red #87 Late Model returned to the clay, in some final testing sessions for the HARVEY BROS. newest creation. Track owners Richard and Robert Harvey designed a new chassis specifically designed for Richey for competiton in 2010. The red/white "S&H Erectors, Tennessee Roofing Construction, Stealth Carburators" Harvey Motorsports machine was on display at the main-gate Friday night for fans at BOYD's for the Volunteer Racing series inaugural event, but was not in competition. Richey did however make it three-in-a-row in Crate LM (Hunt Bros. Racing # T16) beating a stout 20+ car field in the 20 lap feature.
