Midway Speedway Adds "Topless Fast & Furious" to UFo Tour April 16!
(MARS PA) - Midway Speedway has announced that its annual topless Super Late Model event will be part of the 2010 UFo Race Championship tour. "Topless Fast & Furious" on Friday night, April 16 will be the 1st-ever UFo landing at Midway and will now be ran as a companion event to the "Topless 51" at Tyler County Speedway the following night. The event combination will offer a total of $7,500 to win for the UFo Super Late Models for the weekend.
"Topless Fast & Furious" will feature a Mach-41 lap UFo Super Late Model championship paying $2,500 to the winner. The track's TSMA E-mods, TSMA Stock Cars, TSMA Hot Mods and 4-Cylinders will also be in competition.
Midway Speedway is an exciting 1/3 mile track located at Crooksville, OH, which is about 110 miles from the UFo central axis. Midway becomes the 10th supertrack on the 2010 UFo tour. The track will be the 1st Ohio track to host a UFo event. Located in the rolling hills of Ohio, Midway features drive in parking on the terraced hillside located behind the grandstand area, perfect for tailgating and camping. Midway Speedway presents a Friday night racing program throughout the season.
With the proximity to Tyler County Speedway, and the topless event already on Midway's 2010 schedule, Midway's promoter Chad Shipman decided that their race would be a great fit for the UFo tour. The UFo pilots will now be able to compete for even more prize money under the same rules set and fans can now experience 2 amazing UFo-style events in one weekend.
On the following night, Saturday, April 17, the UFo Race Championship will make its 1st of 3 appearances at the Tyler County Speedway. The "Topless 51" will be highlighted by the first Area 51-lap feature of 2010 paying $5,000 to the winner. Late Model fans will be treated to a galaxy of late model racing as the FASTRAKPro-LateModelNortheast & Mid-OhioValley tours will start their 2010 season at TylerCounty. The Pro-Late Model championship will pay $1,500 to the winner.
TylerCounty's AMRA Mods, TSMA Hot Mods, Pure Stocks, 4-Cylinders and AMRA Mod-Lites will also be in competition. The junior-age Mini-Wedge go kart division will race before the stock car racing program begins. The "Topless 51" at TylerCounty will also feature rock-bottom ticket pricing. Grandstand tickets for ages 11 and over will be only $14 with pit admission of $29.
