FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Dennis Erb Records First Victory of 2010 at Paducah; Readies for Lincoln and Peoria

(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) The Dennis Erb Racing team reached victory lane for the first time in 2010 on Friday night, March 26 at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky! Dennis Erb won his heat race in preliminary action at PIR and later survived a rough racing surface in the main event to record the victory. He picked up the $1,000 top prize in the regular show by defeating Ryan Unzicker, Tim Brown, Kevin Cole, and Lee Thomason.

Next up for the #28 team was a trip to the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Saturday evening, March 27. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned the annual running of the 'Indiana Icebreaker' and a $10,000 winner's check was on the line. Dennis ran sixth in his heat race and ninth in his B-Main, but received a series provisional to gain access into the 50-lap feature event. In front of the SPEED Channel cameras, the Carpentersville, Illinois native picked off eight cars in the 'Indiana Icebreaker' en route to a fifteenth place performance. You can view complete results from both Paducah and Brownstown by visiting www.paducahracing.com and www.lucasdirt.com.

"We learned some things on the car this weekend, especially at Paducah on Friday," commented Erb this week. "Although it wasn't a big race with a ton of cars, it was still good to get that first win under our belt. The track was rough and there was some attrition, but we were able to stay out of trouble and get into victory lane. Then at Brownstown on Saturday, we just didn't get timed in good enough during qualifying. With the caliber of cars there, it was hard to dig yourself out of a hole and unfortunately we couldn't overcome our qualifying effort."

Dennis will stay in his home state of Illinois this upcoming weekend for a pair of Dirt Late Model events. On Friday night, April 2, the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois will play host to a $2,000 to win Monster Midwest Series show. The doubleheader weekend will then conclude on Saturday evening, April 3 with a $4,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series race at the Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois. Additional information concerning these two events can be located at www.lincolnspeedway.org and www.peoriaspeedway.com.
