Tony Knowles Has Strong Texas Weekend; North Georgia Up Next

Tyrone, Georgia (03/31/10) – Tony Knowles made his first ever trek to the Lone Star state over the weekend as he entered a pair of World of Outlaw events in his #26 RSD Enterprises/SAE Parts/Rocket/Custom Racing Engine Super Late Model.

TKR Motorsports made the trip to Texas for a pair of World of Outlaw Super Late Model events over the weekend. The first event was held on Friday night, March 26th at Battleground Speedway in Highlands, Texas. Thirty-three Super Late Models entered the $10,000 to win event, and Tony qualified 11th fastest and went on to finish fourth in his heat race to earn the 15th starting spot in the main event. During the course of the main event, he would race his way to a 17th place finish.

Tony entered the second leg of the World of Outlaw Late Model Series double header on Saturday night at Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas in a night where "12" would be a recurring number. Once again, thirty-three Super Late Models entered the event, and Tony started the night by qualifying 12th fastest to earn the fourth starting spot for a heat race. He would go on to finish fourth in his heat race to lock into the 12th starting position for the feature event. In the feature, he would go on to race his way to a 12th place finish in the $10,000 to win main event.

Next on tap for Knowles will be a $3,000 to win event on Saturday, April 3rd at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, Georgia. The event will be sanctioned by the Southern Regional Racing Series. For more information on the event, please visit www.SouthernRegionalRacingSeries.com .
