Scott James Starts Season with Sixth Place Effort at Florence; Indiana Icebreaker Up Next

(BRIGHT, INDIANA)  The "Silver Shark" Scott James kicked off his version of the 2010 racing season on Saturday night, March 20 at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky! Guest piloting Scotty Earl's #s44 Rocket racecar, Scott qualified well and later won his competitive heat race to earn the third starting spot in the $5,000 to win 'Spring 50.'

During the course of the 50-lap main event, the Bright, Indiana native ran amongst the top five for most of the race before winding up in the sixth position. Scott finished only behind winner Don O'Neal, Greg Johnson, Dan Schlieper, Rod Conley, and Jeep Van Wormer. You can view complete results from the 'Spring 50' by visiting www.florencespeedway.com.

The Scotty Earl Racing team and Scott James will now turn their focus to the ‘Indiana Icebreaker’ at the Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Saturday, March 27.  The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the annual one-day show, which will be taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for the first time.  A $10,000 paycheck awaits the winner of the ‘Indiana Icebreaker’ on Saturday at the Jackson County Fairgrounds facility.  Additional information concerning this race can be found online at www.lucasdirt.com.
